It’s officially awards season and The Screaming O has swept three of the biggest awards shows of the year with 12 nominations in pretty much every important category that exists. The annual AVN Awards, O Awards and XBIZ Awards are happening practically back-to-back in January and only honor the most popular brands, products and campaigns of the year – and clearly we did something right with our 2014 debuts!
The Screaming O has been nominated for AVN’s 2015 Best Pleasure Product Manufacturer – Medium, a category reserved for companies whose catalogs are comprised of only top-quality designs made for mass appeal and market success. Our RingO Ranglers stretchy erection rings were nominated for Best Product Line for Men, while the PrimO collection of premium silicone erection rings with 4-function vibrating motors was named for Best Product Line for Women. The winners will be announced Jan. 24 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas at the annual “Oscars of porn,” hosted this year by adult stars Alexis Texas and Tommy Pistol.
The Screaming O’s FingO Tips mini vibes were nominated for Outstanding Product for Women by the AVN O Awards, an event dedicated primarily to the pleasure products industry. Also named were the VibrOman all-in-one better sex kit for Outstanding Product for Men, Screaming O Climax Cream for Outstanding Supplement or Enhancement, and the RingO XL larger-sized stretchy erection ring for Outstanding Non-Powered Product. Our colorful promo for the neon-hued ColorPoP collection was nominated for Outstanding Marketing Campaign with thanks to the custom graphics and signage made in-house by our talented design team. The winners will be announced Jan. 22 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas during the annual Adult Entertainment Expo.
The Screaming O also took home four nominations for the upcoming XBIZ Awards, scheduled Jan. 15 at the JW Marriot at LA Live in Los Angeles. We were named for Sex Toy Company of the Year, a category reserved for companies who business practices, body of work, and industry reputation exceed all expectations. The ColorPoP Two-O dual-vibrating ring was named for Couples Sex Toy of the Year, while the VibrOman all-in-one better sex kit was named for Male Sex Toy of the Year, and the Scream & Clean Toy Cleaner spray was named for Sensual Accessory Product/Line of the Year.
A dozen nominations – that might be a record for The Screaming O, an honor that we worked incredibly hard for this past year. We put several new processes in place to ensure streamlined development, production and shipping and went way outside the box to come up with designs and styles that served the needs and expectations of our fans. It’s exciting to see our efforts not only were appreciated but also considered award-worthy by our colleagues, and we’d like to thank XBIZ, AVN, and everyone who voted for The Screaming O!
